Twins Georgia and Harry Pope are celebrating A Level success, after achieving identical A*/A grades.

The Bradford Grammar School students from Thackley are now set to begin degrees at Newcastle University, in Psychology and Marine Biology respectively.

Georgia, who studied A Levels in English Literature, History and Psychology, is delighted to have secured a place at her first-choice university, commenting that their shared university destination is another “pure coincidence … we didn’t plan it that way!”

Harry is equally thrilled with his grades in Art, Biology and Politics. Reflecting on the most unusual of school years, he commented, “It was hard to know what to expect with this year’s results. Although we got our grades at home online, it was great to come to school after so long, to see everyone again and open our results together.”

The pair are part of a BGS year group which saw more than half of A Level students achieving solely A*/A grades.

“It was hard to know what to expect with this year’s results. Although we got our grades at home online, it was great to come to school after so long, to see everyone again and open our results together.”
