2. Submit the online application form

To start the process for entry please submit the application form. Please note there is a card payment of £50 (non-refundable) to be made on completion of this form.

This process starts a school year in advance of the date you wish to apply for your child to join Bradford Grammar School. For example, for entry into Year 6 (Juniors), applications commence when your child is in Year 5. For Year 7 (Seniors) entries, applications commence when your child is in Year 6.

Mid-year applications or applications made outside these timelines are slightly different. Please contact our Admissions Manager for further details [email protected].

3. Entry Assessment Day

Following receipt of the completed application forms an invitation to one of our assessment days will be issued.

Students will be invited into school for a day where they will sit age appropriate assessments. Specimen questions are available on request.

Further details about the key assessment dates can be found below.

4. Outcome

Following the assessment day you will receive a letter informing you of the outcome.

An outcome letter will be sent out within two weeks of your child sitting their entrance exam.

Successful Year 7 candidates will receive an invitation to have a Taster Day in school. This Taster Day gives children an opportunity to meet their future classmates, make friends and see what BGS has to offer.
