We have a thriving Drama Department that is enjoyed throughout the year. With a wide range of activities on offer to pupils, our well-equipped theatre, studio, staging equipment and lighting are in constant use.
Facilities
Collaborating as a team, pupils contribute to the calibre of our drama in School.
Our prestigious Hockney Theatre welcomes families, students and staff through its doors to witness the hard work and dedication of our Department.
With help from drama staff and our theatre technician, Drama pupils learn the ropes backstage as well as improving their performance skills.
Drama plays an important role in fostering a sense of community at BGS, giving teenagers the opportunity to explore their identity through the arts.
Some enjoy the thrill of performance, others find a talent for writing and directing, whilst many students love the technical challenges of lighting and set building.
Affiliations with theatres across Bradford also help the Department to offer the students insight and opportunities in Drama outside the school.
