Former BGS pupil Simon Davies, who was forwards’ coach last season, has taken over as head coach at Yorkshire Division Three club Aireborough.
The former Bradford Salem and Harrogate prop replaces Matt Trevithick, who, for the moment, is concentrating on work and family commitments, although he will remain as a player and will assist in coaching juniors.
Former Bradford Grammar School pupil Davies has wasted no time in putting his own stamp on the first XV by appointing versatile back Ollie Catherall as captain and flanker Chris Chapman as vice-captain and pack leader.
