Gaurav said: “As long as you’ve tried your best, no one can ask any more. I’m just over the moon, I’ve worked hard and it feels like the fruits of my labour have paid off.” Guarav will be taking a year out to work as a school tutor at Yipiyap, the UK’s leading provider of in-school tuition in Maths, English and Science to Primary and Secondary schools, where he will help children locally in Bradford.

Sana said she felt ‘relieved and happy’ given that she had worked so hard for her three As and will go onto study Environmental Policy with Economics at London School of Economics.
Henry Reed PurvisA, A, B
A gifted sportsman Henry will go onto study Politics and International Relations at Nottingham University. Henry currently plays for The Lambs, Independent Schools RFC. The Lambs exists to create openings for boys to showcase their rugby skills at a national level. Henry said: “I’m so happy! It’s so exciting and I’m grateful to all of the teachers for believing in me. I can’t wait to get started at Nottingham University”.

Umayah was ‘over the moon’ with her two A*s and two As, “I’m amazed and so happy. I’m going on to study Computer Science and would love to have a career in Cyber Security. My degree includes an apprenticeship which I feel will give me a competitive advantage in the field, with real hands-on learning.”

Brandon will go on to study English and History at Durham University and was ‘over the moon’ with his results, “I’ll be going out with friends to celebrate in Leeds – it feels like a real relief and I’m extremely happy with my results.”
Isabelle HeatonB, C, D
Isabelle has been offered a place to study at the New York Film Academy, which counts Steven Spielberg, Martin Scorsese, Bruce Springsteen, Al Pacino, Robert Downey Jr., Jamie Foxx, and Jodie Foster among their alumni. A talented, budding filmmaker, Isabelle took great pride filming a special video for the Sixth Form leavers this year.

Piers said he felt ‘so nervous’ before seeing his two A*s and an A, “wow it’s just fantastic news and I’m going onto study Geography at Durham University, so the future is really exciting!”
Beatrice TaggartA*, A*, A
A talented hockey player and budding musician, Beatrice was recently awarded the Edwards Prize for Head of School at Speech Day. As a keen member of the school council, Beatrice will go onto study French and Latin at Cambridge. “I’m so pleased, I can’t believe it. It has been a hard year of work, but I gained lots of support and it has really been worth it.”

Grandson of the late Salvatore Dammone, who founded the award-winning Salvo’s restaurant in Headingley, Leon, shares the same pride, passion and drive for success as his family. “I was so surprised by my results – I needed to just sit down and have a cup of tea! It feels amazing and the best end to a great summer working in the family restaurant.”

Joshua, among the best in the Country for Windsurfing and a representative of the British Sailing Team, came back to his roots to collect his fantastic A Level results. Joshua said he is ‘over the moon’ and can’t wait to continue riding his wave of success this weekend as he’ll be heading straight to the World Windsurfing Championships in Denmark.

Madeleine will go on to study Engineering Design at Bristol University. She was recently awarded Edward Clarkson Upper Sixth Physics Prize at this year’s school Speech Day. “I’m so excited and pleased. There are no words. I’ll definitely be out celebrating with my friends.”
Henry Stonelake Straight A*s
Henry will go on to pursue his dream of studying Medicine and Surgery at Nottingham University. “I was aiming for top results, but I am surprised. I’m looking forward to a new start and excited by the prospect of heading to Nottingham.”

Billy has been offered a place to study Politics and International Studies at Warwick University. A keen rower, aspiring actor and talented art student, Billy appeared and sang in the school productions. “I’m so happy about my results. The future is really exciting. BGS has fabulous subject teachers and they’ve encouraged me every step of the way.”
Meggie Boyle A*, A*, A
Awarded the Senior Domry Upper Sixth French Prize at Speech Day, her inspiring two A*s and one A means she will now take a year out to get work experience in Paris and develop her language skills before applying to Cambridge. Meggie’s dad, a former pupil of BGS, Andrew, is extremely proud, ‘I think Meggie is really brave to take a year out and apply to Cambridge next year to fulfil her dream of going to France and studying language.’

A member of the Combined Cadet Force, talented rower, and guitar player, Will goes onto study Physics at Durham University. “I’m so happy with my results, it hasn’t sunk in. I’m absolutely elated, it’s an exciting and daunting prospect. I’m very grateful to all of the constant and incredible support from the School, friends and family”. His mother Stephanie said that she was, “really proud,” of her son’s achievement, while father Neil said that he was, “over the moon, the culmination of a lot of hard work that has paid off”.
Ben WoodA*, A*, A*, B
Keen rower, Ben, was awarded the Old Bradfordians’ Upper Sixth Mathematics with Mechanics Prize at Speech Day and will go on to study Engineering at Cambridge, after receiving his inspiring three A*s and one B grade. “It doesn’t quite feel real. I’m just so pleased and relieved and can’t wait to go onto further study.”
